Saturday mornings will never be the same;) Finn started playing in a 3-5 year old league through Indy Parks and Rec. His first game was highly amusing as he stood in the same spot after tip-off for about 5 minutes- as did the person he was to be guarding! After everyone encouraged him to run down the court he got the hang of it and ran up and down the court with everyone else! The second game he had some good defensive moves (arms up) and by the third game he's taking the ball to the hoop! Ok, so he hasn't figured out dribbling and the goal is way too high for him but he did run down the court holding the ball and then he shot the ball. He is so super cute giving us thumbs up at every opportunity.
Finn has learned about name calling at basketball practice. He finds it hilarious. The kids call each other meatball and knucklehead. Finn began calling them 'spaghetti sauce'. So original and ridiculously 3 year old cute. Although I have discouraged name calling as it is not kind or a loving way to treat others. To which Finn has asked if it's okay to call the girl on the team 'cutie pie'. Oh boy.
