Being so close to the to the east coast, we decided we needed to do a beach weekend before it got too cold! We picked the perfect weekend to do it as it was 70's-80's on Saturday and Sunday!
Saturday was super windy and the waves were huge but Sunday the wind was calm and the water was not as rough. I found a last minute deal at a condo in a great location in Cape May.
Cape May was super cool and has the most Victorian houses in the US after San Francisco- so there were a ton of bed and breakfasts in these beautiful houses. A lot of restaurants were in these houses too.
There was a fun outdoor mall- which really reminded us of Charlottesville's downtown mall.
We got there late Friday night and spent our weekend on the beach enjoying our boys first beach experience!
Sawyer enjoyed eating the sand- as did Finn who we would catch licking sand off of his hands...
One thing I had on my list of things to do was to find some great crab to eat.
I found a secret local all-you-can-eat place and was SUPER excited.
Then when we were given a bucket of blue crab with tiny claws, my excitement faded.
There was a minuscule amount of meat in the claws, Micah ate crab lungs and you had to dump out the insides of the crab before eating--- and the insides looked like what I regularly see in Sawyer's diaper.
Oh geez... Too much information? Now you know not to order uncleaned blue crab.
Finn's first time flying a kite!
