Finn has had a crazy word explosion in the past month. He speaks in such great sentences and says new words and sayings, songs and funny things every day. It really blows my mind. I find myself saying every day- what did you say??? Because I'm so amazed by what he picks up. His use of pronouns, prepositions- he does so well and it's amazing how kids learn to talk!
At 28 months, Finn is 31 pounds and ?? inches.
He just started saying 'water' more clearly. It has always been wah-wah and
as of the past couple days it has become wa-DER.
Which makes me terribly sad because he's changing over night!
He loves to play baseball and hits the ball off of his tee amazingly well- we cannot wait to get him signed up for t-ball next year! He can reach the pedals on his bike but would rather be pushed than pedal himself:) He loves acting like a dinosaur and getting you or eating you.
Finn has definitely been asserting himself more and more these past months and telling us what he wants, when he wants it and letting us know if he is not happy about something. For the most part, with time-outs, some spankings and some stern talking to, he is a great listener and obeys us. Now when he is overly tired, forget about it!! So we have been trying to make sure he is well rested-- for all of our sakes!
Finn is SUCH a Daddy's boy since Sawyer is born. He always asks for Daddy to read him books and put him to bed. But when Daddy is not home, I get to:)
He has become fearful of bugs (all bugs, including tiny ants and roly polies) and will mildly to severely freak out until we 'get them' and has recently been calling things 'scary' if they scare him. He is very afraid of cars in parking lots and asks to be held or else 'cars hit me'.
Finn's dairy allergies are still in full effect, as are his egg and peanut allergies (though he has never had any peanut anything). His allergist had him in a peanut research study and his testing came back as severely reactive to 3 of the 4 proteins in peanuts that cause severe reactions. Not something I wanted to hear and we pray he never has a severe reaction to anything. We did recently test him on coconut to which we found out he is not allergic! Hurray! So I have been excited to transition him from rice milk (seriously no nutrition, except for it's fortified additives) to a coconut milk tonic and include coconut milk, oil, etc in his foods as it is a great healthy food that can be cooked in a lot of different ways!
