Finn is now in his big boy room! Hurray!
We moved him into his room when he turned 2 so we could get baby's room ready and Finn would have enough time to adjust to sleeping in a big boy bed before baby came! He has adjusted perfectly and we are very proud of him:) I greatly enjoy taking naps with him as his room is the darkest in the house--- he greatly enjoys it too and I am super sad when I think about not being able to take naps with him anymore--- if the baby doesn't let me!
We made an Ikea run for most everything in his room- furniture wise. We wanted a bed low to the ground so he wouldn't fall too far if he did fall out. So far he doesn't move around a whole lot at night. In the mornings, he plays on his bed with his animal friends and calls for us to come get him.
The first night he slept in his big boy bed we gave him a new friend- a little night light/creature that he can turn on and off and sleep with (from Ikea). He calls it 'light friend' and cannot sleep without it now. Give him his water, light friend and read some books and he is good to go!
Our bedtime routine is prayers by the side of the bed, books, cuddle and 'talk about day' time. His favorite books right now are: Little Blue Truck, Mommy's Best Kisses, 'Animals' and God Knows All About Me-- and the Bible. I think I read his Bible to him for at least 30 minutes a day! He loves the story about the 'apple' (Adam and Eve), Noah and 'keep walking' (Good Samaritan).
